On Saturday, September 17, 2022 - the finals of Canadian Corporate Cricket League was played between TD and CPG. CPG had dominated the season and topped the table with 8 wins, 2 losses and 2 rainouts and a Net Runrate of 0.8242. TD on the other hand, finished second on the table with 7 wins, 1 loss, 4 rainouts and a Net Runrate of 2.1769. Both teams won their respective Semi-finals to meet each other in the finals. TD won the toss and elected to bat.They put up 165 on the board with a loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Saurabh and Siddharth made half-centuries for TD at the top of the order with some lower order hitting from Faisal. CPG in reply to TD were contained at 147 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Umer Shakeel played an anchoring knock of 59 getting runout in the 18th over. Other than him there were contributions from All-rounder Kartik Desai who made 35 runs but were not able to challenge the total put up by TD. TD won the finals of CCCL 2022 by 18 runs. CCCL congratulates both teams for putting up a great game of cricket.
